JAY Union Wheelchair Cushion.
The JAY Union Wheelchair Cushion is a multi-layered foam and fluid cushion suitable for users with Medium to High skin protection risk and is one of the latest additions to Sunrise Medical's renowned JAY brand of quality wheelchair cushions. Sunrise Medical have used their extensive knowledge to produce a wheelchair cushion that offers a perfect combination of stability, comfort and advanced skin protection.
Made with a rear wall and sacral notch cut out, the Union is a multi-layered cushion with a foam base, JAY flow fluid inserts and a memory foam top layer. The JAY flow fluid inserts offer you fantastic pressure relief with no maintenance.
The JAY Union is supplied as standard with an inner and outer cover (Dual Cover Technology). The inner cover is a Dartex Coated Lycra material offering anti-wicking, easy cleaning and incontinence protection. The outer is a Microclimatic cover with 3DX space fabric which improves the breathability and reduces skin breakdown, heat and moisture build up; particularly good when sat for longer periods.
Available in standard height or reduced profile height (1" lower) at the tallest point the lateral edge of this cushion measures 110mm in height (90mm for the reduced profile version). Usually the reduced profile version may be more suited to a manual wheelchair user and the standard to a powerchair user but obviously each individual's needs may dictate different to this.
Once you order this cushion, we will contact you within one working day to agree the size and style of the cushion in order for us to send your order to production. Typically a cushion may take around two weeks to arrive but this can vary at different times of the year and therefore we are unable to guarantee delivery timescales. Each cushion is made to order and because of this we are unable to accept returns on this product. For quality assurance the cushion is supplied with a manufacturer's two year warranty to cover you against defects in materials and workmanship, further details to this can be found in the owner's manual supplied with your order.
Replacement or additional covers (either inner or outer) are available to add to your order, we will offer these when contacting to discuss your sizing requirements.
